Buds Best Stocks

Wednesday, November 14, 2007boomerbud and stocksWhat is it that would make you want to get up at quarter to 5 every week and spend hours a day looking at a screen of flashing red and green lights and numbers. Why the stock market of course. To me stocks started out as a hobby and have become an all consuming obsession. It is like legalized gambling only the person who actually does the research wins without any(or at least not much) luck involved. One can actually turn a 100 dollars or a 1000 dollars into many thousands, all without lifting much more than a finger. The stocks can work for you while you play and vacation and they can provide net worth and collateral to extend your tentacles into even bigger pursuits and ideas. I must admit that at times on weekends when markets are closed I can hardly wait for Monday to come around again. Am I nuts? Maybe, but I just love the game. So here on these pages I have posted my best and favorite picks for the current cycle. Most of the stocks listed I own and if I don't now, I plan to soon. Now nobody should let someone do their due dilligence for them nor invest without knowing loses can and do happen but that being said, use this list as you will. I plan to use it to "Take it to the limit". When my opinion changes I will delete the item as timely as I can. Happy trading and remember you can't win if you don't play. Here is a quick synopsis of the reasoning behind each of these picks:IMCL-this is a late stage biotech stock with a fine lead drug which is expanding into new indications. It has recently completed a trial for non small cell lung cancer that was statistically positive for overall survival. Now no other drug at this time can say the same. I believe it to be worth 80 or more and could be a buyout candidate- ONXX- for almost all the same reasons this biotech is going much higher and it is at 60 already. It has just had a trial for its lead drug prove effective for liver cancer and it is already approved for kidney cancer. It has a trial in the works for lung cancer as well. Biotechs such as these are somewhat recession proof in that cancer patients must have these drugs regardless of what the economy is doing. AKAM-say video downdload bandwidth and best of breed and you know enough to know akam is going to 50 or higher. GG-a gold miner with the least production cost and the largest reserves. What more can I say with gold likely to top 900-1000 soon and gg should see mid 40's conservatively. SLW- a sliver play and silver has not even come close to keeping up the normal gold to silver ratio. It has virtually no overhead as is a middleman with only a handfull of employees. SNDK-in 2008 all the cell phone makers provide new phones with card slots. That should make one salivate for sndk trading at a mere 38 as I post. This could go to 90. This group of stocks has the potential to change ones financial fortunes in the coming days weeks and years.Posted by boomerbud at 7:59 PM 0 comments
